Does being a zombie wear off?

I was doing some biting of those asking for it in the Freckle Fever thread, I've bitten about a dozen times tonight, but now it shows under my HA "bite" and not "infected". I didn't realize until I went to bite someone and instead of telling me I bit them it told me that my bite won't infect anyone.

[edit] I think I figured it out, let me know if I am wrong. I ended up unlocking the skin in my wardrobe, I didn't realize that unlocking the skin removed the zombie from me. I found a thread saying that once you unlock the skin you can go back to the VIP and get a new virus strain. So unlocking the skin removes your zombie status.

I'm also getting this. I tried switching between the two strains I have unlocked as skins, too, and it didn't seem to help.

Maybe it happens automatic when you are a full fledged zombie? Turns out the skin I had is in my wardrobe. But instead of getting a new virus i get blistered hearts again :/

It seems a bit fussy in general at the moment (I recall switching skins being a lot more responsive than it is at the moment?), which makes me want to say it's technical difficulties of some sort...

As much as I love my Butterfly Bruise, I don't want to be infected with that again. That's pointless! Someone please figure out what is going on!

My preview is still showing me as a Butterfly Bruise.

Happened to me too, instead of getting a new one, I got one that I had in my wardrobe. Was not amused and had to use a bottled antilovirus cause I couldn't ''take'' it off anymore. At least, a good samaritan sent me one.

I have the same problem. If I cure, will I still have the skin in my Wardrobe for use? I just want my second Blistered Hearts gone so I can go back to biting.

I went back and check and it's still there. I read that once you achieve the last stage, you go and save the skin in the beta wardrobe and we should be able to get cured/take off skin and be reinfected.

I did that. But even with my zombie skin still on, I'm still not being recognized as a zombie.

I look like a zombie. But neither the VIP page nor the Healer Hut recognize me as a zombie.

Also in the boat of "just unlocked a new zombie skin".

Weird. I know that to get rid of my skin (stage 8) I had to cure myself as the healer saw I was infected but wouldn't do anything.

At least I'm not the only one....But nobody will help! Absolutely NOBOSY.

It looks like I can't update my HA at all. Maybe that has something to do with this stuck unzombie'dness?

[edit] No, HA updating just took a while. Still can't bite people, though.

Don't want to ping everyone, but if you claim your skin and don't immediately go and say you changed your mind on the VIP page, you can be reinfected with the same virus. If you chose your virus specifically, you will be. If you had chosen random, it just depends who bites you first.

It's bullshit and there's a thread in Suggestions for it.
